Barriers Physicians Encountered When Using Information from Outside Organizations

  1. 44% of physicians indicated a great extent of difficulty finding important information due to a large amount of low-value information (versus experiencing this to some extent or not at all).
  2. 40% indicated that information was not integrated into their EHR to a great extent.
  3. 32% indicated that the entire patient record was not available to a great extent.
  4. 23% indicated that key information was missing within the patient's record to a great extent.
  5. 6% to 7% of respondents indicated not encountering these barriers at all.
